My Bio
Hello there...

I am an Oregon based fine art and glamour nude photographer with 18 yers of still image experience and 25 years of broadcast video work.

For the large part, I prefer to shoot my models in natural settings outdoors.

I have no real preferance regarding models body types, I love to shoot the plus models as much as the think willowy types. Beautiful women are, ofcourse, beautiful.

I do shoot indoor work, but by far, I prefer outdoos... add water and now we have a shoot.

Thanks to all, thanks to my models.

Well, time marches on, I finally got old this past year. No more 'safaris' into the rough country.  No more off road image work.  But, I will  be shooting indoor images for the foreseeable future.   If you are a model and want some images from my shooting style, please do get in touch. If you are a photographer and would  like to shoot at some of the very special locations I have not shot as yet, and the locations I have already shot.  Get in touch... I don't mind sharing.

Dear followers of SafariShootS, whomever ye may be,

I apologize for anyone who had to find out this way, but SafariShootS actually my dad! But sadly, he passed away last week. He had taught me everything I know about photography, and I had yet to fully understand the art before he passed. He also taught me a lot about art as well, and I still use the techniques he taught me! He was a professional in his field, and I'm glad that you all, whomever you may be, loved his pictures! I know it's probably because of the nature of his drawings, judging by the mature rating on most of them.

I intended to try to learn Photoshop from him this summer, and more techniques, and even some car stuff from him, but sadly he passed away before this came to fruition.

But I'm still glad that you all loved his work! I'm sure he was too! If you all are so inclined, I might post some of his old photos that were more tame, you know, not pretty ladies wearing little to nothing (despite the fact they were still really cool pictures!), because he had many pictures of his cats and dogs over the years, and they were really great photos! I will link back to this page as well, so that they know he took these pictures, as I have some of them on my SD card here.

Soon I'll post the last drawing of mine I got to show him before he passed as well, he really liked it, and I told him I would finish the drawing and color it the afternoon before he passed. I got cold feet about it because of my sadness regarding his passing, but hopefully I'll finish it soon.

Either way, I'm so glad you all appreciated his photos! I'm sure all your support made him really happy when he was still around! I thank you all on his behalf.

Thanks for reading,

LillyGeneva.
Hi,
I came to Richard's Safari Shoot page to wish him a Happy Birthday and read the news of his passing.  I'm very sorry to hear it.
I attended one of his Safari Shoot workshops years ago and I really enjoyed it. I continue to be friends with the models and others I met there and I took some of my best photos ever.
I'm sad for his passing but glad I had the chance to meet him.
I'm so sorry I replied so late, but thank you for your condolences. I do appreciate that you took the time to wish him a happy birthday, and it's awesome that you got to hang out with him! I'm glad that you made friendships out of the time that you spent with him, it makes me really happy to know that.

I do hope that you are doing okay yourself, Skookum. Thank you for your reply, it really does mean a lot.
Thanks for your kind words.
